In the Women & Congress Seminar you will:
Speakers include women serving in the House and Senate, professional staff members of congressional committees and advocacy organizations.

Registration Fee:
There is a non-refundable registration fee of $40.
Seminar Fee:
$180 for Students from PLEN Member Institutions
$225 for Students from PLEN Associate Member Institutions
$300 for Students from Non-PLEN Schools

These fees do not cover expenses for transportation and most meals. Seminar housing is available for an additional cost.

PLEN has negotiated a discount rate with the Carlyle Suites Hotel, located in the Dupont Circle area of Washington, DC. Please do not contact the hotel to make a reservation; PLEN will make the reservation for you.

Preliminary Conference Schedule
Monday
Seminar Registration & Opening Dinner
Tuesday
Attend explanation of lawmaking process by staff of the Congressional Research Service and briefings on current legislative issues.
Wednesday
Meet with Congresswomen and staff. Attend congressional committee hearings. Participate in evening committee hearing simulation.
Thursday
Meet with women in government relations. Observe sessions of House and Senate. Visit offices of Congresswomen and meet with staff.
Friday
Attend closing mentor session.
Seminar concludes by 1:00 p.m.
